You'll notice when they drive into the town with the angry mob that the angry mob are protected by high viz wearing stewards to ensure none of them got hit when the convey of cars has to hurriedly drive through.

Haven't watched it for years. I used to enjoy the programme when the car was the star, back in the days of the likes of Wilson, Nidell and Goffey.

It stopped being a serious car show years ago, now it's three middle age men acting like cunts, it's fairly entertaining if you don't take it seriously.

I used to like it when they just reviewed cars.
Got a bit like DIY SOS, which started off with run of the mill builders sorting out people's fuck-ups - and has turned into an emotional reality show

Before I ditched my telly I used to watch it and enjoy it.
No cooking.
No dancing.
No singing.
No-one claiming they are on a 'rollercoaster journey' or being given a once in a lifetime shot at some dream.
No PC agenda.
No identity politics.
Just three middle aged, middle class white blokes larking about harmlessly.
Though I can see why that is an affront to all sorts of people. Doesn't pass the Toynbee Sniff Test.

I enjoyed it. Yes of course most of what you see on these programmes are set up, but I still find it entertaining.
When I read about what happened earlier in the year I just assumed it was another thing that was set up. It was pretty clear from watching it however that it wasn't. Possibly edited to make it seem worse than it was, but not set up.... Like the rest of the programme.
Little top for people that don't like it though... Don't watch it.

If the producers had seen such a reference then the purpose of the special - to go down to the one of the most hostile parts of Argentina to play a game of football ie the Christmas truce akin to WW1 - would have been blown out of the water.

They must search extensively for used cars to include in episodes and perhaps just happened across this one,
I dont think they noticed, or saw any significance to the plate, but thought it would suit Clarkson's apparent dislike of Porsche's.
Given the amount of trouble he has caused, I don't think the production team would have sanctioned anything that would have jeopardised the success of the programme.
